Relief shaped by local needs.

Project history · Ukraine

A record of H2O365’s earlier humanitarian relief work with local contacts, volunteers, and shelter staff.

Food delivery and sanitation support

H2O365’s humanitarian work in Ukraine brought food, medical supplies, and sanitary supplies to displaced communities, including residents of schools converted into shelters. Conversations with local staff helped the team understand needs that the original delivery plan had missed, particularly access to showers and privacy in shared living spaces.

When delays at the border threatened a food shipment from Romania, Tejas Raxwal brought Ukrainian contacts and logistics volunteers together to revise the delivery plan. Local contacts found drivers, and he coordinated repeated cargo-van crossings while refrigeration preserved the remaining food between trips. The shipment reached five schools near Boiany.

At a school shelter in Khotyn, the team redirected resources and helped local partners install three showers, part of twelve across the sites it supported. Shelter staff advised on daily routines and maintenance needs, giving the people responsible for the facilities a role in planning the installations.
